Information on Cancer Services for Isle of Wight Residents
Most forms of Chemotherapy (treatment with drugs) can be administered on the Island at St Mary's Hospital, Newport. Tel: 01983 524081 Extension: 4961. However, Isle of Wight cancer patients attend hospitals in Southampton and Portsmouth for radiotherapy and some more complex chemotherapy treatment that are not available on the Island. Southampton Hospitals try, whenever possible, to arrange appointments for Islanders between 10am and 3.30pm, in order to help with travel times. However due to the volume of patients needing treatment, this is not always possible.
